District 91

In the race for State Representative, there’s a clear choice.

Toby Herald
Republican
Cluster Howard
Democrat

  • Herald voted against working families by increasing their taxes while cutting those for millionaires and corporations.

Helping Working Families

  • Cluster believes that Kentucky is a great place to raise a family. That’s why he’ll work to strengthen our schools and keep good paying jobs in our communities.

  • Herald voted for legislation that cuts our teachers’ pensions and could make it more difficult to recruit and retain good teachers.

Supports Our Educators and Public Service Employees

  • Cluster will stand up to Frankfort politicians and protect the hard-earned pensions of our teachers, firefighters and police.

  • Herald is harming the lives of our coal miners. He backed a new law that now means there are only six doctors in the state that can diagnose black lung disease.  This law also makes it harder for miners to receive workers compensation because of black lung.

Stands Up for Workers

  • A strong community depends on a strong workforce. Cluster will fight the special interests that try to put their needs above ours.

  • Herald supported legislation that taxed working families and charities but gave millionaires massive tax cuts.

Gave Millionaires A Tax Cut

  • Millionaires should be paying their fair share in taxes, not less. Cluster will work to right this wrong.

Issues In Education In Kentucky: State Takeover Of Local Schools

On April 30, 2018, interim Kentucky Commissioner of Education, Wayne Lewis, recommended that the state take over Jefferson County Public Schools. This means that politicians in Frankfort will be running a local school system, and democratically elected school board members will be stripped of their power, pushed aside into an advisory role.
